Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility

Sustainability is a central principle to our operations, as we constantly strive to improve our sustainability efforts to make a positive impact through our environmental, social, and governance practices. The Group remains committed to improving its sustainability and corporate responsibility in all aspects of business operations and is currently conducting a gap analysis with a view to preparing for the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requiring large companies such as the Kore Group to report according to mandatory EU sustainability reporting standards. Our efforts in relation to sustainability are outlined hereunder.

The Kore Group places equal opportunities for all as a core principle in its recruitment process and operations. This is attested by the diverse pool of employees that we employ.

Employee training plays an essential role in the success of our pillars. We invest substantial resources to train employees and management to improve performance, support their learning and improve company culture whilst addressing any gaps in the individual cultures to embrace diversity. The Group runs various training programmes – food handling, sales, communication, customer care, mental health, first aid, as well as, specialised training for our health and social care professionals, amongst others.

Aside from the Environmental Aspect – we have considered our Social Corporate Responsibility in that we have employed a number of inmates from Corradino Correctional Facility in Malta so that they work within the same facility to plate food for their fellow inmates, rather than having these plated within the factory and sent ready. As such these inmates are earning some money while trying to rehabilitate their lives.
